Kayla’s experience in accounting and tax, as well as in the practice of law, gives her a unique perspective when working with individuals and businesses on their trust and estate and business tax law matters. Kayla understands that individuals and small business owners want quality legal representation and advice, as well as the peace of mind that comes from knowing tax costs or savings as they relate to income or estate taxes. Whether it be filing or amending tax returns, seeking a resolution for back taxes that clients owe, audits or creating a trust and estate plan, Kayla is happy to help her clients navigate this complicated and ever-changing area of the law.
A lifelong resident of Illinois, Kayla grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago and attended North Central College, where she graduated cum laude with a double major in finance and economics and a minor in mathematics in 2012. Kayla then went on to graduate cum laude from the John Marshall Law School in 2017.
Kayla was named Best Oralist in the John Marshall Moot Court Competition while attending the John Marshall Law School. She also received the CALI Award for Excellence in Contracts Law. Kayla was a member of the International Legal Honor Society: Stevens Inn. She also enjoyed being a part of the John Marshall Domestic Violence Clinic, helping those in need with tax issues, particularly Innocent Spouse Tax Relief.
Kayla remains dedicated to serving her clients with the highest caliber of education and experience by continuing her studies at the John Marshall Law School to obtain her LLM in Tax Law.
